Dirk Arends

With over 20 years of experience as a captain, I have navigated the seas globally, mastering various vessels, including cargo ships, ice-class ships, and inland coasters. At 23, I became a captain and demonstrated strong leadership as captain owner. During these years, we successfully managed the construction of several new vessels, as well as overseeing sales, purchases, and shipbuilding projects.
In 2014, I raised Rivermaas Management bv, where I oversee technical management, quality control, operations, crewing, and sustainability projects. My leadership and team-player skills foster a collaborative and innovative environment.

As General Manager of BMare,I apply my knowledge and experience to deliver high-quality ship management services. Our company is committed to safety, operational efficiency, and long-term reliability. We oversee all aspects of vessel management, including day-to-day operations, technical support, crew coordination, and environmental compliance. At BMare, we work in close partnership with our clients to safeguard their vessels and align with their strategic objectives.
